Waking Night Support Worker – Short Breaks Service
Location: Coalville Leicestershire

Hours: 9:45 PM – 8:00 AM (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Competitive base salary + Night Shift Premium (calculated at an additional 1/3 of the hourly rate)

We are seeking dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our clients innovative Short Breaks Service.

This beautiful new home in Mountsorrel supports children and young people (ages 0-18) with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and challenging behaviors. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where up to three service users at a time can enjoy new experiences, build friendships, and develop independence and social skills.

Your Responsibilities
Build Trust: Develop nurturing relationships that promote the independence, wellbeing, and strengths of our service users.

Collaborate: Work closely with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals.

Maintain the Home: Contribute to the general upkeep of the home, including cleaning and preparation tasks.

Record Keeping: Accurately document information and ensure all records remain up to date.

Safety & Safeguarding: Strictly adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following in your application:

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a commitment to achieving this within the required timeframe).

Experience: Relevant experience working with children and young people within a residential setting.

Mobility: A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle for travel between our Leicestershire locations.

Flexibility: Ability to commit to a shift pattern that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills.

Training Commitment: Availability to attend occasional daytime mandatory training, group supervision, and consultations (with advance notice).
