What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and committed Teacher of Design & Technology to join our successful school from September 2026. This is a permanent, full-time position and would suit an ambitious Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner looking to further develop their practice within a supportive and well-resourced department.
The successful candidate will be able to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The ability to teach one or more of the following subjects is essential:
• Art
• Food Preparation & Nutrition
• Graphic Products
• Product Design
• Photography
A willingness to contribute across the wider Design & Technology curriculum would be advantageous.
The Role
You will:
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire creativity and independent thinking
• Plan and teach well-structured sequences of learning across KS3 and KS4
• Use assessment effectively to support progress and attainment
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Contribute to curriculum development within the department
Support enrichment opportunities, clubs, exhibitions and wider creative experiences
