Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kent (Dartford / Rochester / Chatham / Maidstone)

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Shifts (Day Shifts only, 06:00 - 18:00)

Salary: Circa £48,000 - £50,000 Basic + Competitive Benefits

The Company:

My client is an nationally recognised manufacturer currently working with some very impressive big names within the food production industry. Due to their growth they are seeking a maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry (preferably food) or similar work environment to join their team.

To do this they have set up a brand new site with the latest equipment, a canteen serving hot and cold foods on-site 24/7, yearly pay rises and appraisals to discuss where you would like to go in the company to ensure you are able to grow and progress within the company long term, free parking and electric car charging ports, and options for your shift patterns and your training and career progression!

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate would be a competent maintenance engineer or mechanical fitter comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated automated environment. If you enjoy an energetic and challenging workplace, but also want to be surrounded by a very supportive team this could be the role for you…

The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts. Upholding health and safety regulations in a fast moving automated environment and conducting all mandatory logs. You must be comfortable handling electrical and mechanical faults, but also taking part in the commissioning, continuous improvement and project work as they continue to expand the site.

Requirements:

  • Several years experience working within a FMCG environment, preferable food production.
  • Have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a level 3 NVQ in Engineering or similar.
  • Previous experience implementing continuous improvement and assisting with large scale projects onsite.
  • Confident working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, inverters, drives, control systems, plcs.
  • Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of electrical equipment.
  • Be ambitious, enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
