Are you a Site Engineer in the Didcot area? If so then this is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor!

Location: Didcot

Contract type: Freelance

Start date: 2 Weeks

Salary/Rate: Competitive out of scope, dependant on equipment and experience.

The role:

The client is looking for us provide an Earthworks Site Engineer to work on a civils project that is due to start imminently. We are looking for someone who is available to start soon. Your role as Site Engineer will be:

  • Set up site dimensional control and maintain
  • Establish effective systems to record work completed
  • Setting out for the project
  • GPS Machine Control
  • Surveys including topo and volume, for as builts and QA
  • Understand and assist in the implementation of site safety systems
  • Ensure workforce and contractors understand setting out information
  • Assist and prepare sketches for distribution on ensuring all teams understand the plans
  • Preparation of as-builts
  • Maintain the drawing register
  • Provide Engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and queries are answered

About you:

  • Circa 4-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Laptop
  • Working knowledge of CAD
  • HNC or equivalent qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS or above and a First Aid would be beneficial but isn't essential
  • Be able create and maintain detailed records of works on site
