Food Studies Teacher – Permanent, full-time from April 2026

A recent inspection highlighted a well‑structured and supportive learning environment where pupils develop confidence and positive attitudes towards their studies. Teaching is purposeful and well planned, enabling pupils to make strong progress across the curriculum. Leaders demonstrate clear direction and high expectations, ensuring staff feel supported and pupils benefit from a calm and aspirational atmosphere. Sixth form provision is equally well organised, contributing to positive outcomes and personal development.

Duties as Food Studies Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging Food Studies lessons.
  • Support pupils in developing practical skills, including safe food handling and preparation.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom organisation and practical equipment safety.
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school procedures.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that supports pupil independence and confidence.

Ideal Food Studies Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Food Studies and related practical disciplines.
  • Ability to deliver well‑structured lessons that support a range of learners.
  • Confident in managing practical sessions safely and effectively.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
