Middlesbrough on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract
Job Title: Development Process Administrator
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:30am – 17:00pm
Location: The Compleat Food Group, Unit 2A, Nelson Street, Middlesbrough, TS6 6BJ
Salary: £28,000 per annum

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and launch of new food products, supporting projects from
concept through to factory launch. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business to help deliver our New
Product Development (NPD), Existing Product Development (EPD), and Continuous Improvement (CI) programmes.
As a Development Process Administrator, you will:
* Track development projects from concept through to product launch
* Support the site team in managing project timelines, action logs, and review meetings
* Assist with NPD, EPD, and CI projects to ensure they progress smoothly through the development process
* Help coordinate factory trials and pre-production runs
* Organise materials, packaging, and ingredients for trials
* Support data collection, trial documentation, and product evaluations
* Assist with product tastings, panels, and benchmarking activities
* Maintain key product development documentation including:
* Support QAS documentation and artwork processes
* Assist in gathering microbiological testing data for technical review
* Act as a link between site teams and central functions
* Attend project meetings and provide administrative support
* Support sample requests and customer-related activities
* Support quality improvement initiatives across the business
* Assist with raising purchase orders and tracking project budgets
What We’re Looking For:
* Early career experience within food manufacturing or FMCG
* Basic understanding of food safety, HACCP, or food manufacturing processes
* Strong organisation and administrative skills
* Good communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* HND or Degree in a Food Science / Food Technology related subject
* Enthusiastic and motivated
* Strong team player
* Adaptable and proactive
* Keen to learn and develop within food manufacturing
