Weldit LLP is looking for an Operations Manager to support the day-to-day running of our sheet metal fabrication business.
This role focuses on the operational structure around the workshop — ensuring the right systems, controls and processes are in
place so the business runs safely, efficiently and in line with company standards. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager
and leadership team to make sure everything behind the scenes supports a smooth and well-run operation.
The Role
You’ll help ensure the site runs safely, efficiently and in an organised way day to day, taking responsibility for key operational
areas including:
* Health & Safety oversight, ensuring compliance with legislation and company procedures
* Stock and materials management, maintaining accurate control of materials and consumables
* Operational investigations and issue resolution, identifying causes and implementing improvements
* Recruitment and staffing support, helping ensure the business has the right people in place
* Supporting operational planning and continuous improvement across the site
You’ll also work closely with the Production Manager on factory planning and operational improvements, helping ensure the wider
operation supports safe and efficient production.
* Salary: £45,000
* Bonus: Discretionary performance-related bonus
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
This role is primarily based on site, working closely with both the leadership team and the workshop operation. The role includes
time in the workshop environment where appropriate safety procedures and PPE must be followed.

You may already be working in an operations, site management or manufacturing environment, and you’ll enjoy improving systems,
maintaining high safety standards, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
