TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Exmouth area. These roles are offered on a flexible supply / ad-hoc basis, making them ideal for individuals looking to gain experience across different schools while also having the opportunity to secure longer-term positions in the future.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working with children or young people who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping them thrive in the classroom.

The Role:

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

  
  

• Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups to support learning

  
  

• Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  
  

• Supporting children with additional learning needs where required

  
  

• Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour

  
  

  Working Pattern:

  • Flexible supply / ad-hoc work depending on school requirements

  • Work available across a variety of local primary schools

    
    

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Prior experience working with children or young people (essential)

      
      

    • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach

      
      

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

      
      

    • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

      
      

    • A proactive attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
