Teaching Assistant based in Early Years Catshill Federation Catshill Middle, First School & Nursery, Bromsgrove 8.45am – 3.20pm, per day, fixed for one term (potential to go permanent) Term time only, TA2 (5-6) Are you passionate about providing care and guidance to pupils, helping them thrive both academically and personally? Catshill First School & Nursery is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive school community. You will play a vital role in nurturing pupils’ wellbeing, promoting positive behavior, and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. Key Responsibilities: This role involves providing 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will help the child access learning, develop independence, and support their social and emotional development within the classroom environment. To work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom and to provide 1:1 support for identified pupils as required. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent for Teaching Assistants • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above • Experience of working with children and young people in an Early Years setting. • Experience of working with children in a First/Primary School • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and resilient nature.
