We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Arboretum Inclusion Manager to join our team. The Inclusion Manager is a pivotal role within The Arboretum, Sidney Stringer Academy’s internal SEMH alternative provision, operating at the intersection of main school pastoral systems and specialist intervention. The post holder will lead the day-to-day delivery of the ACE intervention — a structured, time-limited placement designed for students whose persistent defiance or significant one-off behavioural incidents have exhausted standard internal options, but who do not meet the threshold for Supported Transfer or six-week external placements.Job requirements
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and mathematics (grade C/4 or above)Experience working in an educational setting with young people who face significant barriers to learning, including those with SEMH needsAn understanding of trauma-informed practice in education and a commitment to developing expertise further
Experience managing challenging behaviour calmly and effectively in a school or comparable setting Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage daily logistics, record-keeping, and communication across multiple stakeholders
An Understanding of the significance of education to social justice and life outcomes
