Crynodeb

To share knowledge and skills with Options 4 CYP colleagues to identify and facilitate therapeutic interventions to enable them to work with children and young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs on their individual caseloads. To work closely with other agency staff and provide regular professional consultation, training, and advice to identify and address the mental health needs of children and young people as early as possible. To understand and work within Child Protection protocols and guidelines. To regularly raise awareness and promote neurodiversity and wellbeing of children and young people within the wider community. To collaborate with the statutory and none- statutory agencies e.g., Social Services Education, private and voluntary sector to promote a network of services providing help and support to children, young people parents and their carers. i.e., take a lead in participating in the Complex Difficulties Panel and other appropriate forums. To participate in and provided training and supervision to other team members. To maintain a high standard of record keeping and reports. Participate in clinical governance programs within the CYP Learning disability and Neurodiversity Team. To evaluate the effectiveness of assessment and treatment whilst responding to the changing needs of the clients and the service. To attend and participate in regular clinical and managerial supervision within the multidisciplinary team. To attend team meetings on a regular basis. To support students and other trainees on placement with the service. To work in the context of an equal opportunities framework and to promote equality in all areas of work.
