Crynodeb
This is a full-time post for a Consultant Diabetes & Endocrine (10.0 PA). The appointee will work in collaboration with the other Diabetes and Endocrine Consultants, other Specialist Consultants, Doctors in Training, Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Dietitians, and Podiatrists in the Trust. This will be delivering outpatient and inpatient diabetes and endocrine services to the local population serviced by the George Eliot Hospital Trust, to share facilities and provide continuity to patients and staff and deliver high standards of care. Specific duties will include up to five outpatient clinics per week. The post holder will have access to secretarial support from a team of medical secretaries and administrative assistants. Along with radiology including MRI, CT and ultrasound service. The service also has access to pathology services. The balance between Direct Clinical Care (DCC) activities and Supporting Programmed Activities (SPA) will be agreed with the candidate as part of the initial job planning process. For a full time post it is anticipated that 8.0 programmed activities (PA) will be for DCC, and 2.0 PAs for SPA.
