Vacancy title: SGSAH Blogger
Vacancy Reference: 195553
Salary: UofG Grade 4, £25,804 - £27,319 per annum, pro rata

This post is part time (5 hours per week) and fixed term for 6 months from the start date.

The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 570 years, and today we are one of the world's top 100 universities. We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.
Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.

We are seeking to appoint a Blogger to join the College of Arts & Humanities on a part time basis.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities PhD blog.

The successful candidate will have excellent written communication skills, experience of developing and running a blog and experience of increasing presence and reach for a blog. Experience of using social media to reach different communities is essential for the role.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview and will be asked to do a short task in advance, writing a 200-word blog post from information supplied.

Please note that this post is open to doctoral researchers in the Arts & Humanities, enrolled at an SGSAH member HEI. The appointed Blogger will report to the Partnerships Manager of the SGSAH, Helen Kendrick. We expect the postholder to work largely remotely.

Informal queries are welcome and may be directed to Helen Kendrick at Helen.Kendrick@glasgow.ac.uk

We believe that we can only reach our full potential through the talents of all. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our values. Applications are particularly welcome from across our communities and in particular people from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community, and other protected characteristics who are under-represented within the University. Read more on how the University promotes and embeds all aspects of equality and diversity within our community https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/humanresources/equalitydiversity/.

We endorse the principles of Athena Swan https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/humanresources/equalitydiversity/athenaswan/ and hold bronze, silver and gold awards across the University.

We are investing in our organisation, and we will invest in you too. Please visit our website https://www.gla.ac.uk/explore/jobs/ for more information.
