Procurement Officer
Pity Me, Durham
Salary: £35,548 per annum.
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 10am on Wednesday 25th March.
This is a rewarding and fast‑paced role where you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality procurement outcomes that make a real difference. You’ll thrive in a diverse and demanding environment, managing a varied portfolio of projects while driving value, compliance and innovation across the organisation.
Role Benefits:

Working from home up to 2 days per week.

About the Procurement Officer Role:
This role will involve:
Giving excellent procurement support across the Bernicia Group.
Evaluating and managing procurement activities.
Maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
Essential:
Minimum of two years public procurement experience
Have proven tendering experience including market engagement, contract drafting and evaluations.
Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
IT skills including the use of Microsoft packaged including Word and Excel.
Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
Desirable:
CIPS Qualification
Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector.
Experience of e-procurement systems specifically In-Tend.
