Are you a skilled 1st fix joiner available for a month-long commercial project in Leeds? We are looking for an experienced tradesperson to join a major city-centre refurbishment. The primary focus of this contract is the construction of temporary access steps and ramps to facilitate site movement and public access.
The Role:
This is a fast-paced commercial environment where you will be responsible for:
- Temporary Works: Constructing sturdy, compliant temporary timber steps and ramps.
- 1st Fix Installation: Assisting with initial site hoarding and structural timber framing where required.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all ramps meet required gradients and safety standards for site-wide use.
- Efficiency: Working from drawings to ensure all temporary structures are fit for purpose and built to last the duration of the project.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Valid CSCS Card: (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Supervisor preferred).
- Tools: Full 1st fix kit, including cordless drills, circular saws, and levels.
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial 1st fix joinery and temporary works.
- Reliability: A consistent track record of punctuality and a "get-it-right-first-time" attitude.
- PPE: Full site PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel-toed boots).
