Full job description
Due to company growth, FAB24 have a fantastic opportunity available for experienced Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator to join the team in the Govan area of Glasgow. This position will work on a full time, permanent basis.
• Role: Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator
• Location: Govan, Glasgow
• Salary: Up to £29,500 depending on experience
• Hours: 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3pm on Fridays
Duties as Guillotine Operator will include but not be limited to:
• Taking part in the manufacturing process
• Cut sheet metal
• Key process includes using Amada guillotines
• Working from technical drawings
• Operate various hand and power tools
• Following in house processes
The successful guillotine operator will possess the following skills:
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Expertise in working with various metals, including aluminium, pre-coat sheet and stainless steel.
• Experience with precision measuring tape measures, rules to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to work with high attention to detail and maintain consistency in quality under tight tolerances.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre large metal sheets and work in various positions for extended periods.
