The RoleWe're looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a caring, trauma‑informed secondary school in Batley. You'll be working with students aged 11-16, providing calm, consistent, and compassionate support-whether that's 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom.Your role will be central to helping students feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and behaviour leads to create positive, meaningful change.
What We're Looking ForWe'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school settingOR
- Experience supporting young people aged 11-16 in any capacity (youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, residential care, tutoring, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers
- An understanding of trauma‑informed practice (or a willingness to learn)
