Encocam engineering are recruiting a Production Operative – Multitasker for our late shift (2pm till 10pm) at our production site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
At this factory we manufacture aluminium honeycomb for production in crash test barriers, composite panels and several other products. You can see our barriers being used on the Euro NCAP website to give vehicles their safety rating.
You will be working across multiple different machines around the factory, taking the sheets of aluminium, gluing and bonding the sheets together to help produce aluminium core for our Corex and Barriers division.
Role Description
The processes needed for the manufacture of the aluminium blocks.Feeding aluminium sheets into machineryUsing chemicals such as glue products and acetone
Setting up and rung of process machinery.
Ensure that a professional service (external and internal customers) and high standards of quality are provided at all times throughout the various stages of manufacture.
You may be required to train other colleagues as and when requested.
Maintain, develop and build long-term relationships.
It is a requirement of your role to be prepared to undertake training and thereby operate lifting equipment e.g. forklift truck (reach and / or counterbalance), pedestrian palletiser etc.
Be conversant with and assume proper responsibility for the implementation of the company’s Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and all other company policies, rules and arrangements, demonstrating a responsible attitude to fellow employees, customers and suppliers of the company, leading by example and taking appropriate action where required.
Complete routine department paperwork and adhering to administrative procedures. An understanding of computers is required.
You may be required to train other colleagues as and when requested.
