TeacherActive is currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Stockport that is seeking a Science Teacher to join their team from April. This is initially a temporary position, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent following a successful trial period.

The school is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable teacher who can deliver engaging Science lessons and inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a collaborative department that is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge pupils.

  
  

• Teach across the Science curriculum, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

  
  

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.

  
  

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports effective learning.

  
  

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the wider school.

  
  The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

    
    

  • Have experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.

    
    

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.

    
    

  • Be passionate about Science education and committed to supporting student progress.

    
    

  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to contribute positively to the school community.
