TeacherActive is currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Stockport that is seeking a Science Teacher to join their team from April. This is initially a temporary position, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent following a successful trial period.
The school is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable teacher who can deliver engaging Science lessons and inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a collaborative department that is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities-
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge pupils.

Teach across the Science curriculum, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports effective learning.

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the wider school.
The Ideal Candidate Will:-
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Have experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.

Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.

Be passionate about Science education and committed to supporting student progress.

Be adaptable, proactive, and able to contribute positively to the school community.
