SEND Teacher – SLD / PMLD – Wiltshire
Trowbridge | Full Time / Long Term
TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND provision in Wiltshire to recruit a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher to support children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASC), and complex medical, sensory, and communication needs.
This highly supportive setting provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils follow personalised learning pathways designed around their individual needs and abilities. Learning is often sensory-led, communication-focused, and centred on developing independence and life skills. Staff work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider support professionals to ensure pupils are supported holistically throughout their education.
Many pupils communicate using alternative communication approaches such as PECS, Makaton, visual timetables, or communication aids, and benefit from structured routines, sensory regulation, and carefully adapted learning experiences.
