Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Chaddesley Corbett, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 25-year-old male living with his parents in Chaddesley Corbett in Kidderminster and is looking to recruit a Self-Employed Personal Assistant to provide support for 4 hours per week with teaching and promoting his independence & life skills.

Main duties:
Social duties/domestic duties:
 Teaching client independence skills such as cooking, laundry, hoovering & dusting etc.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:
 Values: We are looking for someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, that can firm but fair, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, understands equality and diversity and has a good sense of humour.

 Specific requirements: Someone with previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities.

Hours of work: 4 hours per week

Rate of pay: £15 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 Previous support worker experience
 Confidentiality
 Good at building relationships
 Good communicator
 Likes dogs as there are two in the property
 Ability to support people with complex support needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
