Permanent Day Healthcare Assistant to join a small care setting based in Erdington, Birmingham.
Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
The home specialises in caring for adults with; Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, Mental Health conditions, Complex Needs, and individuals requiring PEG feeding.
What You’ll Do:
•Support the residents with their daily needs; Feeding, Personal care, companionship
•Working in a team with a registered nurse and other healthcare professionals
•Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs
•Support residents with PEG feeding and other nutritional needs
•Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily care
•Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the home
•Perform regular wellbeing and safety checks
•Assist at mealtimes – preparing snacks or providing support with feeding
•Use manual handling equipment safely and confidently
• Keep accurate records (daily logs, care charts, etc.)
•Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members
Hours:
Shift times: 08:00 - 20:00
Rota: Set Rota each week (4 one week, 3 shifts the following week)
**To be considered, you must be able to commit to this rotating schedule**
What You’ll Need:
•Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role (Minimum 6 months- UK based)
•Experience with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and PEG feeding
•Confident in using manual handling equipment
•Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
•A positive, proactive attitude and a team player mindset
•Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
