POSITION TOOLMAKER
Purpose:
To repair, maintain and develop production Mould Tools.
Main Duties:
• Support Safety Checks and Improvement activities as required.
• Carry out preventative maintenance according to schedule and documented procedure.
• Carry out repairs with the objective of preventing re-occurrence and improving tool robustness.
• Maintain tool work records and complete necessary Toolroom documentation.
• Support the improvement and maintenance of 5S standards.
• Carry out root cause analysis when appropriate to ensure robustness of corrective actions and repairs.
• Must have extensive mould tool experience and traditional bench-fitting skills.
• Repair and maintenance of hot runner systems.
• The role involves working a shift system, you must be willing to work shifts.
• Any other duties as requested by the business.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• Must be a time served Toolmaker.
• City & Guilds Toolmaker and/or ONC Mechanical Engineering.
• Capability to work under own supervision.
• Strong background in injection mould tool manufacture & maintenance.
• Cross functional department working.
Desirable:
• Experienced automotive or similar high volume industry.
Working Hours
• 3 shift rotating pattern.
• Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am
• Fridays 6am-1pm /1pm-8pm / 8pm-3am
