Maths Teacher – Alternative Provision – Brent

Alternative Provision (Secondary)

We are seeking a committed, resilient and experienced Maths Teacher to join a well-established Alternative Provision in Brent, supporting students across KS3 and KS4 who present with complex behavioural needs and SEMH challenges.

This Maths Teacher role is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for a practitioner who is confident working with pupils who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education and who require consistent, calm and structured teaching approaches. The successful Maths Teacher will understand the importance of relationship-led practice and strong behaviour management when supporting learners with complex needs.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths to small classes of no more than 6–8 students. Pupils attending this provision may present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, trauma-related needs, or disrupted educational backgrounds.

The successful Maths Teacher will be confident adapting the curriculum, maintaining clear expectations, and creating a safe and structured learning environment that supports both academic progress and emotional regulation.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is passionate about re-engaging learners and making a meaningful impact on young people who need additional support to succeed.
