Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced engineers in the design, assembly, and testing of conveyor systems.
- Learn and perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks under supervision.
- Participate in troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality standards are met.
- Develop technical documentation and reports related to projects and tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong interest in mechanical engineering and a desire to learn.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
- Proficient in using hand tools and basic machinery (training will be provided).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant coursework or experience in engineering or related fields is a plus.
- Minimum 5 GCSE passes at grade A* - C or 9 – 4 (must include a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English & Maths or equivalent).
Successful applicants will attend Bedford College Engineering Operative (ST0537) Level 2 Apprenticeship (approx. 18 months).
