If you’ve worked in container transport or haulage operations and enjoy the challenge of keeping movements running smoothly, this role could be a great next step.
A growing logistics company in Stowmarket is looking for someone who understands the pace of transport operations and can confidently coordinate container deliveries and collections across the UK. You’ll be joining a busy operations team where communication, planning and problem solving are key to keeping everything on track.
What your day will look likeNo two days are exactly the same, but you’ll typically be involved in:
• Planning and coordinating import container deliveries and export collections
• Liaising with drivers, subcontractors and customers throughout the day
• Managing bookings and updating jobs using TOPS transport software
• Responding to operational queries by phone and email
• Keeping transport records accurate and systems fully up to date
• Supporting the wider operations team when needed
This role will suit someone who already understands the container haulage environment and is comfortable working in a fast-moving transport office.
You’ll probably have:
• Around 2+ years’ experience in container transport operations
• A strong understanding of UK routes and geography
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with TOPS transport software (helpful but not essential)
• The ability to stay organised and calm when things get busy
The company offers a stable, supportive environment where experienced operators are trusted to manage their workload and contribute to the wider team.
You can expect:
• Competitive salary from £40,000+ depending on experience
• A permanent, full-time role with a growing logistics provider
• A collaborative and professional operations team
• Opportunity to develop as the business continues to grow
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30, with occasional flexibility required when transport operations demand it.
