About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling our learners to participate fully and confidently in college life. This includes:
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting learners across a wide range of curriculum activities, always promoting independence.
- Assisting tutors with the delivery and assessment of learning activities.
- Preparing learning environments and resources.
- Working with learners with a variety of disabilities, including physical, sensory and behavioural needs.
- Collaborating with care teams, Integrated Therapy Services, clinical staff and other departments to deliver outcomes outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans.
- Ensuring every learner has equal access to learning opportunities.
- Providing personal care where required (training provided).
Salary & Hours
- £13.19 per hour / £22,859.33 per annum (actual)
From 1st April £13.73 per hour/£23,795.19 per annum(actual)
- 37 hours per week (part-time 3-4 days considered)
- Shift pattern: Monday-Thursday: 08:30-16:30 Friday: 08:30-16:00
- Working weeks: 40 (term-time)
- Paid holiday: 6.84 weeks (5 weeks plus 10 bank holiday days, pro-rated)
