Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them develop coping strategies and build resilience
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement comprehensive behaviour management plans
- Facilitate group activities and workshops that promote social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour
- Liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintain detailed records and documentation, monitoring student progress and reporting on outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in the field of student behaviour support
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's SEMH provision
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in a field such as education, psychology, or social work
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with students in a behaviour support or SEMH-related role (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Thorough understanding of SEMH-related issues and effective intervention strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
