Job Title: QTS Tutor (Gateshead)
Location: Gateshead
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week
Start Date: March 2026

We are seeking a QTS Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for students in Gateshead. As a QTS tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons in core subjects like Maths and English to help students improve their academic skills and boost confidence in preparation for exams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one GCSE English and Maths tuition, tailored to meet individual learning needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to support student progress.
- Assist students with study skills, revision strategies, and exam preparation.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide regular feedback to parents/carers and professionals to track student progress.

Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring English or Maths, ideally at GCSE level.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications:
- Experience teaching both English and Maths at GCSE level.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
