We are excited to recruit a qualified HI CBT Practitioner to deliver, with clinical supervision, high-quality, outcome-focused, evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression within our newly formed partnership, the Tees Valley Getting Help Service (TVGH). The new service is delivered by Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) and key partners Alliance Psychological Services, The Link CIC, Teesside Mind, Changing Futures North East, and The Junction Foundation under one service. This approach makes it simpler for children, young people, and their families to access advice and early support, and for partners to make requests for help when needed. The service builds on the support currently available for children and young people by providing earlier mental health support when difficulties arise. It offers children, young people, and their families a range of evidence-based advice, support, and signposting, helping ensure we get it right the first time. The post holder will primarily deliver interventions in Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, and Darlington, with flexibility required to meet the needs of the service by undertaking clinical work across the South Tees area as required. To work as a member of the Tees Valley Getting Help Service Team Working as a Member of the Tees Valley Getting Help Service Team To work as an active member of the Tees Valley Getting Help Service Team, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, evidence-based service for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. To create and maintain effective working relationships within the Tees Valley Getting Help Service team, and with colleagues across partner organisations. To offer advice, consultation, and support to members of the wider workforce, including education staff, primary care professionals, GPs, and other health professionals, on children and young peoples mental health and appropriate referral pathways. To liaise effectively with key stakeholders across health, education, primary and secondary care, local authorities, and voluntary and community sector organisations to support coordinated care for children, young people, and families. To attend and actively contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and service development meetings, providing reports and updates as required. To support the development, delivery, and promotion of the Tees Valley Getting Help Service, contributing to service improvement, innovation, and the achievement of service outcomes. To provide a professional and ethical service To maintain appropriate and accurate records, including assessments, clinical activity, routine outcome measures, and feedback from children, young people, and their families. To maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation in line with NHS, Trust, and service governance standards. To explore and evaluate clinical treatments using appropriate evaluation tools, contributing to evidence-based practice and service improvement. To undertake relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, both as required for continued professional accreditation or registration and as identified through the services Professional Development and Appraisal System. To participate in an annual appraisal and respond to agreed actions and objectives. To undertake an appropriate level of clinical supervision from a qualified Clinical Supervisor in line with the Tees Valley Getting Help (TVGH) Supervision Programme. To operate within agreed NHS, Tees Valley Getting Help Service, and professional guidelines and Codes of Practice. To ensure a safe and secure working environment for self and others, acting in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures. To adhere to all Alliance Psychological Services and The Junction Foundation policies, procedures, and guidelines. To demonstrate a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, valuing diversity and equality of opportunity for employees, workers, service users, and the wider community. This includes challenging discriminatory language and practice and positively encouraging staff, volunteers, partners, and young people to adopt non-discriminatory practice. Safeguarding To take responsibility for safeguarding children and young people by always promoting the welfare of service users and operating in line with local safeguarding policies and procedures. With appropriate guidance and support, to take safeguarding action where necessary to protect children and young people who may be at risk of significant harm. Under guidance and supervision, to identify families who may benefit from additional support and assist them in accessing Early Help services. To share appropriate information with partner agencies regarding children and young peoples wellbeing and progress, in line with confidentiality, information governance, and information-sharing protocols. Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time commensurate with the post.
