Come and join the Neurology Out-Pt team providing specialist intervention in a community settings within an MDT. You will work within a larger team that covers Amber Valley & Erewash. This is an exciting time for the wider stroke-neuro service as we progress with developing our services across the county. We are a friendly and supportive team always striving to improve care for our patients.
Our team focus is on the rehabilitation of patients with Stroke and Neurological long- term conditions, it is essential that you have a keen interest and some experience in this field.
You will have excellent communication and problem solving skills and the ability to plan and organise competent, evidence based clinical care.
We will provide you with a supportive environment to develop your skills and experience. Our evolving service has a strong emphasis on high quality, evidence based care, team work and staff well-being.
We welcome applications from those already at Band 6 and also current Band 5 OTs with relevant experience, knowledge and skills who are looking to develop into a Band 6 role.
You will be mostly based in an out-pt department but there may be times when you need to be able to visit a patient's home or travel to a different site. Being able to drive and have access to a car is essential,
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is committed to rehabilitation for stroke and progressive neurological disorders. You will be required to:
Provide specialist Occupational Therapy Assessments and treatment for adults presenting with a variety of stroke and neurological conditions both acute and progressive.
Work within an out-pt department but also independently within a patient's home where this is appropriate.
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
