Duties and Responsibilities – Vehicle Mechanic
•Inspect, diagnose, and repair used vehicles to ensure they meet safety and roadworthiness standards.
•Perform routine servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, brake checks, tire replacement, and fluid top-ups.
•Conduct pre-sale vehicle inspections to ensure cars are in good mechanical condition before being sold.
•Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and tools.
•Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems.
•Carry out vehicle preparation and servicing before customer delivery.
•Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure issues have been resolved.
•Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
•Work with the sales team to ensure vehicles are ready for display and customer handover.
•Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and workshop standards.
•Keep the workshop clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment properly.
•Provide advice to management on vehicle condition and required repairs for trade-in or purchased vehicles.
