This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a resident doctor with an interest in education to develop as a clinical medical educator. It also offers the opportunity to be involved in the exciting field of simulation. It is aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice and undertake supervised educational research. To assist Hillingdon Hospital Module lead for Brunel Medical School and Firm lead for Imperial College School of Medicine in their educational strategy to design, develop, deliver and evaluate Clinical Education Programmes which encompass essential clinical skills, high fidelity simulation, human factors, communications skills and patient safety training.
The post holder will support the Trust in its delivery and development of high quality teaching in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This will be mainly to undergraduate medical students of Imperial College, London, which is a corporate strategic aim, and Medical School requirement.
This post has a developmental role and will be organisational, aspirational, involve curriculum planning, as well as direct delivery of Teaching.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
The safety and well-being of our patients and of our staff is paramount and we are making urgent improvements to address this – particularly in infection prevention and control. We are making progress and going forward by working in partnership with local GPs, charities,

provide high quality, safe and compassionate care, while drive forward the building of the new Hillingdon Hospital.
