Your New Company

A growing and forward‑thinking organisation within the engineering sector is seeking a proactive SHEQ Officer to strengthen its Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality function. This is a key role focused on supporting the development and continuous improvement of SHEQ systems across the business, ensuring compliance, driving best practice and promoting a safety‑first culture.

Your New Role

As SHEQ Officer, you will play a vital role in the effective implementation, maintenance and monitoring of SHEQ policies and procedures across all business operations. Key responsibilities include implement and embed Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Lead and support risk management processes, including risk assessments. Promote and actively contribute to a safety‑first culture. Monitor compliance and supervise safety practices across sites. Conduct accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are delivered. Carry out regular site inspections and audits. Maintain and oversee Quality Management Systems. Support certification and accreditation processes.Mon - Fri. Early finish Friday.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Ideally you will have a full clean driving licence and have a recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH). Solid understanding of QHSE standards and regulations. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally within an engineering environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage colleagues at all levels.
