As a Senior Care Assistant you will consistently deliver a high standard of care to an allocated group of residents, under the direction of the management team on duty, that being either Team Leader, Head of Care or Registered Manager.
You will fully support and assist Senior Care staff on duty, in the management and supervision of staff on duty to maintain all activities of daily living, ensuring that the residents personal care needs, physical and emotional needs, fluid and nutritional needs, community access, maintaining family ties, receiving appropriate medical treatment and administering prescribed medication are all meet.
As a Senior Care Assistant, when on duty you are responsible for ensuring all risk assessments and care plans are continually monitored, reviewed and fed back to the shift leader or Registered Manager as appropriate.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will delegated as necessary the responsibility for writing and updating resident assessments and care plans.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support the Management team and assist as necessary with resident review meetings, staff meetings and medical appointments as necessary. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner at all times.
As a Senior Care Assistant and role model, you will work alongside less experienced Care Assistants, providing supervision and support to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered at all times.
You will have excellent communication skills and ensure all residents, relatives and visitors are addressed in a professional manner.
As a Senior Care Assistant you will accurately and consistently administer, record, and store medication for the person in your team as appropriate, complying with the Bretby Care Home Ltd Medication Policy and Procedure guidelines and the Care Quality Commission regulatory guidance.
