Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead the team at Happy Tots Private Day Nursery in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a childcare leader who is passionate about maintaining high standards of early years education in a private day nursery setting.
Job Overview
Role: Nursery Manager
Location: Happy Tots Private Day Nursery, Manchester (M8 4NB)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Shifts: Alternative shift patterns (rotating with the Deputy Manager)
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
Ofsted & Compliance: Maintain full compliance with EYFS frameworks, statutory requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.
Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of practitioners and room leaders.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Deputy Manager on shift rotations and nursery development plans.
Parent Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for families, ensuring excellent communication and high levels of parent satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualification: Minimum Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 or Degree preferred).
Experience: Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or Senior Deputy role.
Safeguarding: Deep understanding of Safeguarding/Child Protection (DSL experience is an advantage).
Flexibility: Willingness to work alternating shifts to ensure management cover during all opening hours.
