Home School Liaison and Attendance Officer (TTO + 1 week)Why might this be interesting?The delivery of exceptional education can only be achieve if we have students present and eager to learn, and we know that the reasons for non-attendance in our communities are both highly varied and complex.This critical role at Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe will give the successful candidate the opportunity to positively impact attendance in a vibrant, welcoming and supportive school. As well as effecting a change in mindset amongst some of our most disadvantaged students, you will have the authority and opportunity to interact directly with families for whom education has never been a positive experience. Your direct involvement will have the potential to convert longstanding negative attitudes into advocates and ambassadors for education. It is a truly transformative position of great importance, where success improves the life chances of the most vulnerable and under-served. Not many jobs offer that.This role sits at the very centre of our approach to inclusion and our firm belief and vision that we can positively impact the futures of all of our students. It is certainly a challenging role with many barriers and hurdles, but there are few more rewarding roles in any setting.Sound like your calling?Our ideal candidateWe are looking for someone who LOVES working with children and has a knack for interacting with people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
