We are currently seeking a highly skilled LCV Technician to join our client's expanding fleet department at a state-of-the-art Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) in Wednesbury.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced LCV Technician to work within a modern facility, delivering high standards of vehicle maintenance for a diverse commercial fleet. Duties:
- Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance on Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) / vans
- Perform both minor and major mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Complete vehicle health checks, road tests, and diagnostic assessments
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately
- Carry out electrical and engine repairs as required
- Assist with wiring and camera system maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet workshop targets
- Communicate repair findings clearly with relevant teams and customers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Proven experience working as an LCV / Van Technician in a busy workshop environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills
- Knowledge of vehicle wiring, camera, and diagnostic systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent understanding of vehicle systems and fault diagnosis
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude with a teamwork-focused approach
