We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Food & Design Technology to join our successful and growing Design & Technology team. Horsforth School is a high-performing and popular secondary school in Leeds, known for its strong academic outcomes, supportive culture, and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to contribute to a thriving department and inspire students to develop practical skills, creativity, and an understanding of food, nutrition, and design.

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to teach Food Preparation and Nutrition up to GCSE level.
• Contribute to the teaching of Design and Technology at Key Stage 3.
• Demonstrate a passion for high-quality teaching and learning.
• Be committed to helping all students achieve their full potential.
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

The Design & Technology department at Horsforth School is a strong and successful team with a clear commitment to delivering engaging and challenging lessons. We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom practice.
• Can deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
• Is committed to maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Is keen to contribute to the wider life of the department and school.

This post would suit an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about food education and design.
