Are you a subject specialist looking to join one of the leading Sixth Form colleges in the UK? Randstad Education is proud to recruit for a premier state provider of A-levels in West Sussex. This institution is renowned for its collegiate atmosphere, well-resourced campus, and a professional ethos where both staff and students flourish.

With a student body of over 2,750 young people (aged 16-19), the college maintains an exceptional record of academic success. In 2025, the A-level high-grade rate (A-B) was 61%*, with equally strong results across vocational and technical qualifications.

The Role

We are seeking a well-qualified specialist to deliver high-quality instruction in both Criminology and Law. You will join proactive and supportive teams that prioritize collaborative resource development.

  • Curriculum Delivery: Contribute to the delivery of the WJEC Criminology Diploma and OCR Law A-level.

  • Collaborative Practice: Work alongside fellow specialists to develop innovative teaching techniques and high-quality learning materials.

  • Academic Standards: Maintain the college's successful record in external examinations through expert subject knowledge and student engagement.

  • Professional Environment: Operate within an attractive campus environment designed for high-level post-16 education.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Subject Expertise: A strong degree or teaching qualification in Law, Criminology, or a related social science field.

  • Post-16 Focus: Experience or a deep interest in teaching the 16-19 age range.

  • Team Player: A willingness to contribute to a supportive department and participate in the wider life of the college.

  • Commitment to Growth: Alignment with the college's ambitious plans for expansion and continued excellence.

Diversity & Inclusion

Our partner college is committed to maintaining a supportive and inclusive community. Applications from Minority Ethnic backgrounds are particularly encouraged, as these groups are currently under-represented among the staff.

Based on 2021 Census data for the West Sussex area, approximately 14.1% of the population identifies as being from a Minority Ethnic group. The college is dedicated to ensuring its workforce better reflects the diversity of the community and the 2,750+ students it serves.

Key Dates
  • Interviews: Week commencing 13th April 2026

Safeguarding

Randstad Education and our partner college are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and relevant pre-employment checks in line with West Sussex County Council standards.
