Are you seeking an opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful impact in primary education? We are looking to appoint a HLTA to join us in September 2026. The successful candidate will primarily provide class cover during teachers’ release time and may also support groups of pupils as required.
Who we are looking for: • Qualified HLTA status, or a willingness to complete the qualification• Experience working with primary aged children, including leading whole class teaching • A positive, proactive approach • Strong teamwork skills • Reliability and professionalism • A commitment to helping children achieve their full potential • A strong dedication to safeguarding
What we can offer: • A two week October half term, along with earlier finishes at Christmas and in July • A friendly, welcoming and collaborative staff team • Engaged, respectful and enthusiastic learners • Excellent facilities, spacious grounds and high quality resources • A commitment to supporting staff wellbeing • Training and development opportunities, including pathways into teaching, for those interested
The working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday in term time plus one INSET Day.
This role is graded as PS5 - PS6 depending on experience with a full-time equivalent salary of £27,634 - £30,647. The actual pro rata salary is £18,694 - £20,732 for 30 hours per week working 36.8 weeks of the year.
