This will involve reviewing, co-designing, commissioning, and continuously developing high-quality services.

You will engage strategically with developers and other private and social housing providers to facilitate the growth of affordable housing options to assist move on into longer term homes.

In addition to building strong strategic relationships with partners, you will also be directly involved with customers, staff, and providers to inform all aspects of service management and commissioning.

About you:

You will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and positive in outlook and thrive in an active work environment. You will have a wide understanding of homelessness and housing legislation. You will naturally nurture existing and new partnership working arrangements, and in doing so will actively promote and demonstrate our Progress with Unity approach with residents, providers, partner agencies, and the wider council workforce.

With a strong track record in service management and delivery, you must be able to inspire and engage with individuals both within and outside of the Local Authority. It is expected that you have significant experience of improvement and transformation in both direct and commissioned services and are able to work at all levels within a Council environment.

About us:

It draws on the strengths of our individual organisations, recognising that together we can achieve much more for our communities by delivering on our 2 place missions; create fair opportunities for all children, families, residents and businesses and make our towns and neighbourhoods flourish for those who live and work in them.

This role offers a passionate and innovative individual the chance to make a real difference in our accommodation and support provision in the borough.
