The Friars Primary School is a Good school continuing to provide excellent education to all children and a huge variety of real-world experiences. We are a warm, friendly and inclusive school which is at the heart of our local, diverse community. Everything we do ensures that our children believe in themselves and can achieve their very best. We are looking to appoint a teacher on a one-year maternity in EYFS.

  • A qualified teacher
  • Someone who wants to be part of a whole-school community
  • Curiosity and an eagerness to learn and develop
  • Dynamism, ambition and high expectations
  • Someone who can enjoy their valuable work, even in challenging circumstances
  • Experience of working with children with English as an additional language
  • Someone flexible, adaptable who will enhance our current team
  • Ability to rapidly improve pupils reading skills
  • Knowledge of early reading skills inc phonics teaching
  • Proven track record of a good and outstanding teaching
  • The ability to plan and teach children with a range of special educational needs.
  • Ability to communicate well with adults and children.
