We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator in the Surgery Division . This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The post holder will be responsible for working closely with the Divisional management team and RTT validation team to monitor and track the PTLs, including identifying data quality issues and clock stops. The post holder will be responsible for early escalation where there are capacity constraints to ensure there are no delays to treatment.

This post requires a strong eye for detail, RTT knowledge, experience of waiting list and to be confident in the use of IT systems. The post is based cross site at St Helier and Epsom Hospital.





· To be responsible for the monitoring of the 18-week pathway for allocated specialties and liaise with various staff, including patient pathway coordinator/assistants, operational/service managers to ensure action is taken to resolve issues or escalated as necessary.

· Identify data quality issues and clock stop problems in real time to support a cleanse PTL.

· Coordination with PPCs to book POAs, Outpatient and theatre slots for long-waiting patients to reduce pathway delays.

· Early escalation to servicemanagement team within the division or where diagnostics are required outside division/outside Trust and earlier dates are required to reduce waiting times to treatment.

· Keep accurate records of validation on LUNA to support tight controls on pathway management.

· Attend regular meetings with service management team (including GM/DDO) to report on performance/delivery of actions.

· Ensure appropriate resources are in place for all clinics working with the OBC to support the smooth running of each patient’s pathway.

· Monitor slot utilisation to ensure efficiency and that waiting times are in line with performance targets, particularly 18 weeks and Cancer Two-week rule.

· Assist the Assistant Service manager by monitoring that activity data is captured and by performing regular audits to check depth of coding and reliability of data.
