Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking anAssociate Director of Financial Managementto play a pivotal role in leading our business partnering, management accounting and financial reporting functions. Associate Director of Financial Management Key Responsibilities
• Lead theFinancial Management, Costing, and Incomefunctions for the Trust
• Provide accurate, timely, and robust financial information to clinical and managerial colleagues
• Support the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring the Trust meets itsstrategic financial targets
• Oversee production ofService Line Reportingon a quarterly basis
• Ensurebusiness caseswithin the Trust receive sound financial support
• Oversee the Trustefficiency programme,developing schemes, reporting delivery, and working alongside operational staff to mitigate underperformance
• Maintain robustbudgetary controlsystems
• Attend Board Sub-Committees
• Lead and co-ordinate the development of the Trust’sfinancial plansincluding the Long-Term Financial Model, the financial elements of the Business Plan and the planning returns to NHS Improvement

Candidates must have the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders, and work collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues both internal and external to the Trust.

The ability to interpret complex information and present its impact is key, as well as ensuring the team produce accurate and robust information.

Management experience is essential, with the ability to lead a function successfully, ensuring individuals are motivated and are clear on personal and strategic objectives.

Candidates must be fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
