Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building robust, insight‑driven programmes that shape the success of major infrastructure projects?
We’re looking for a skilled Primavera P6 Project Planner to lead programme development, governance, and analysis across a diverse portfolio of complex civil engineering works. In this role, you’ll take ownership of creating and managing high‑quality project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring they are logically structured, contractually compliant, and aligned with delivery strategies. You’ll work closely with project managers, commercial teams, designers, and operational leads to challenge assumptions, strengthen planning intelligence, and drive improved project outcomes.
From early phasing through to progress monitoring, change management, and high‑level reporting, you’ll play a central role in ensuring performance, reporting, transparency, and confidence across the full project lifecycle.
About Browne
At Browne, we are engineering with purpose.
We’re a leading UK contractor working in the water and wastewater civil engineering sectors, delivering projects that help improve everyday life. From building pipelines and upgrading pumping stations to maintaining reservoirs and drainage systems, we support cleaner water, a better environment, stronger infrastructure and more reliable services for communities.
We offer a wide range of career opportunities both on site and behind the scenes. Whether your skills are in engineering, project delivery, safety, sustainability, commercial, planning or business support, there’s a place for you at Browne. We value different perspectives and experiences, and we’re proud to be a Silver Award Investors in Diversity accredited employer.
Our teams use smart technology and a hands-on approach to make sure every job is delivered safely and to a high standard. We support our clients through the full life of their assets, from construction and mechanical systems to long-term maintenance.
Browne is part of Renew Holdings plc, a UK-based group of specialist engineering companies.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who combines technical capability with strong communication, collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills. Ideally, you will bring:
- Significant experience in planning large‑scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects using Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, constraints, and project controls.
- Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial astuteness around compensation events, early warnings, and delay analysis.
- Ability to analyse complex data, challenge planning assumptions, and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with confidence to influence project teams.
- Relevant qualifications (engineering, construction management, project controls) and/or professional membership (APM, ICE, CIOB, RICS).
- Desirable experience with 4D planning tools and earned value techniques.
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the delivery of major infrastructure projects while influencing planning excellence across our organisation. You’ll work in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment where high‑quality planning, innovation, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
If you’re ready to bring your expertise, challenge convention, and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
