Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am an older man living in Swansea with dementia. I have poor memory, and I am not always factual. I am looking for a PA for 6 hours per week to get out in the community. I am looking to go out on a Monday for three hours to a group called sing for the brain. And on a Thursday for three hours to go for a coffee.
Driver required to take me out.
Male / female preferred.

Essential:
I need you to:
• Drive and have a car
• Be available on a Monday and a Thursday
• Understand that memory loss is an acceptable term to me, but the term Dementia is not to be mentioned.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You are kind and patient
I’d like support with
• Going out in the community
• Going to a group
• Going for a coffee
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
