Work location: Buxton- Hybrid Working applicable
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Partnership & Engagement Lead to support the delivery of our strategic priorities across leisure, recreation, Move More, parks and open spaces. Working closely with the Senior Strategic Partnership Leads and the Head of Leisure & Environmental Services, you’ll play an important role in shaping high-quality outdoor environments and active communities across both Councils.
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence collaborative working and a neighbourhood approach, develop meaningful partnerships, and support a wide range of capital projects and community-focused initiatives.
As the Partnership & Engagement Lead, you will build and maintain positive relationships with partners, contractors, community groups, and internal teams to ensure effective delivery of parks, open spaces and Move More priorities. The role involves supporting the development and review of strategies and plans relating to parks, open spaces and physical activity, leading on securing external funding, demonstrating project impact and overseeing the delivery of capital projects, including contractor management.
The development of web content, publicity materials and monitoring reports linked to your areas of responsibility is also a key element of the role, as well as representing the Parks & Leisure Team at meetings with partners, communities, contractors, funders and other stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who is:
• A confident relationship-builder with excellent communication skills
• Organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple projects
• Skilled at producing high-quality written documents and reports
• Able to influence partners and coordinate projects effectively
• Passionate about improving parks and greenspaces, health and wellbeing outcomes
• Comfortable working agilely across locations, with some out-of-hours commitments
Although the work would be mainly geographically focused in the High Peak, at times the successful candidate may be required to work across The Alliance area.
A full driving licence is essential.
