THERAPEUTIC CARE PRACTITIONER, SENIOR THERAPEUTIC CARE PRACTITIONER AND IN-HOUSE BANK STAFF:

About the Roles
A small number of positions are available for the right people. As a Therapeutic Care Practitioner, you'll be the steady, caring presence that children and young people who've experienced trauma can rely on. The status in your title reflects our significant investment in your training and development.
As Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner, you'll be the shift lead: the calm, reliable presence that staff look to for guidance. You’ll role model best practice and uphold our professional standards at all times.
What You'll Need
Therapeutic Care Practitioners and Bank staff:
Essential
· Experience working with children or young people in a residential setting
· A willingness to work towards a Level 4 qualification in Residential Childcare
. Good understanding of safeguarding
· Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
· Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable:
· Knowledge of trauma-informed care and positive behaviour support
· A full UK manual driving license would be to your advantage
Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioners:
Essential
. Experience as a team leader or equivalent working with children or young people in a residential setting with a Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
. A willingness to work towards a Level 4 qualification (i.e. presently holding a level 3.)
. Upholding professional boundaries and leading by example
. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and positive behaviour support
. Strong understanding of safeguarding
· Basic numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
· Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable:
· A full UK manual driving license would be to your advantage

What We Offer
· Highly competitive salaries:
Therapeutic Care Practitioner: £27,000 – £29,000 pa + sleep in allowance of up to £5,500 pa (based on up to 2 sleep-ins pw) + benefits package; Senior: £31,000 - £ £33,000 pa + sleep in allowance of up to £5,500 pa (based on up to 2 sleep-ins pw) + benefits package; Bank staff at: £27,000 - £29,000 pa (pro-rata) at £14.03 — £15.07 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay (pro-rata) + additional sleep-in rate of £55.00.

Hours & Working Arrangements

· Full-time - rolling rota with consistent hours
· Bank staff - join our own in-house bank team for flexible, ad hoc shifts that fit around your life, with no agency involved
· For all roles, we can offer flexible working arrangements - especially relative to family commitments or travel, so we're happy to have an honest conversation about what might work for you within the rota.

· Based at our children's home in Trafford M16, Manchester.
· Work Location: In person although some activities (e.g. team meetings, supervision, etc.) can be off-site via Teams
Job Type: Full-time (37 hours pw), flexible working considered and Bank staff on an hourly rate
