TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also.

About the role
This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with Programme Leaders, the Head of Area and work alongside other Animal Care Technicians providing the best suited care for our variety of animals. A fundamental part of the role as an Animal Care Technician is to support the overarching curriculum of the Animal Care department.
This role will include setting up areas for practical lessons, supporting staff and students within the practical area and maintaining high standards of welfare for all animals on site.
Other key duties include:
Providing animal husbandry (including cleaning, feeding, watering, providing enrichment and enclosure maintenance)
Ensuring practical areas are fully resourced and ready for use in practical teaching and learning lessons
Assisting and providing tours and demonstrations to designated groups and visitors
Supervision of students from level 1 to 6 within Animal Care working on the practical unit
Maintaining animal health records
Stock taking and supporting with the maintenance of stock records and accurate record keeping
Assisting with the running of the two on site business
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with a focus on the day-to-day care of animals and experience of working in an animal establishment.
Candidates should also have, Level 2/GCSE English and Maths (or willingness to work towards) and Level 2 or higher qualification (or willingness to work towards) in related area.
